Building on the legacy of the Bellingen Jazz Society, this inaugural festival is the ultimate kick-starter for promoting performance of original & improvised music on the Mid North Coast.

The festival is the first project of the Bellingen Improvised Music Collective Inc, and includes youth workshops and an open jam Saturday night, finishing up with a star studded concert at the Bellingen Showgrounds.

Open to all youth participants, their friends and family – a jam arranged in the round in an informal atmosphere so less experienced musicians feel confident to join in!

Bring the whole family to wrap their ears around some serious musicianship with the Sandy Evans Quartet featuring the world renowned saxophonist and her local equivalents, Greg Sheehan on drums, Bobby Singh on tablas and double bass player Brett Hirst from Sydney.

Supported by Oscar Eager’s Octet of students from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s jazz program, playing Oscar’s original compositions.
